Photo report made in color with digital camera on Kemmendine kite players, this station is located on the Yangon circular train (Myanmar). Built in 1876, “Kyeemyindine” is one of the oldest railway stations in Burma, she serves about 2.000 people per day. But Kemmendine is also the unusual playground of some amateurs of kites who live around. They stand everywhere according to the direction of the wind, between the tracks of the train or on the rails… A tension is perceptible on their faces because the challenge for each pilot is to fight by trying to cut in the air the other kites ! One of them has already won the South-East Asian Kite Fighting Championship held in Yangon each year (a three-day tournament with a pool system and $ 200 for the winner).
