Photograph of part of the mountain range located in the southwest Pacific Ocean that crosses the entire length of New Guinea island. These are the Bismarck Range seen from Mount Wilhelm’s peak at 4,509 meters above sea level, in Papua New Guinea. The ascent is demanding, especially towards the summit which becomes increasingly steep. But this mountain has remained wild and nature fully intact. Contemplating the peaks above the clouds provides a timeless spectacle as if we had returned to the dawn of humanity.
